{"product_id":"timor-leste-sakoko-espresso-roast","title":"Timor-Leste Sakoko - Espresso Roast","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis micro-lot comes from Sakoko, a village in Ermera, cultivated organically in shaded environments.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Ermera Region, characterised by extensive mountainous terrain ranging from 700 to 2,000 masl., offers ideal conditions for the cultivation of high-altitude Arabica coffee.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHand-picked cherries from neighbouring farms are meticulously processed at Railaco Station, including floatation to remove lower-density fruit, sun drying on raised beds and patios and subsequent steps like milling, density sorting, colour sorting and hand grading before export preparation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter gaining independence in 2002, foreign investment in Timor-Leste has revitalised the sector, reinstating coffee as the country's primary cash crop, constituting over 80% of total exports. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOperational since 2008, Railaco Station processes coffee from 100 producers weekly.
