Biodgradeable and Compostable Take Away cups

We've wanted to have Reverence take away cups for years, but did not want to add to more waste and landfill.

We are proud that our take away cups are both biodegradeable and home compostable.

Made of Aqueous, a new cup coating technology that uses a water-based coating to coat coffee cups.

The coating is printed like water-based ink, allowing it to be absorbed into the paper fibres, rather than sitting on top as an additional layer whch has always been the issue with cups that claim to be recyclable.

This reduces the amount of material needed – while still providing the same leak and grease-proof benefits as other coatings. 

To compost at home it is suggested you cup the cup into smaller pieces to speed up the composting process.

Recyclable coffee bags

Our 250g, 500g and 1kg coffee bags are all soft plastics recyclable.

Many councils in Australia have introduced a drop off point for this material, if yours doesn't yet, we suggest you get in touch to get them to help with waste reduction!

Our roastery is powered by over 50kw solar, more than enough for our own use and we can also feed back in to the grid for others to use renewable energy. 

Lower Emissions Roasting technology

We invested heavily in upgrades to a more sustainable, lower emissions coffee roasting plant.

Our stae of the art 120kg IMF coffee roaster reduces gas consumption by over 30% compared to a conventuional drum roaster and afterburner.

It also gives us much more control and consistency with our coffee!
